The
Tuxbox-Servant is still in beta Status.
The TuxBox-Servant may contain a lot of Bugs.
The
Tuxbox-Servant is a collection of Tools to control your TuxBox
Satellite receiver running Enigma or Enigma2.
The
TuxBox-Servant was initially developed for the Linux operating
system and for my own purposes.
Building my own image was the
goal. Maybe you can use one or more of the tools in the
TuxBox-Servant.
So I'd like to share them with you.
The Tools are written in TCL/TK 8.6 and runs on Linux, Windows and maybe the Mac (not Tested).
In
Windows you can install ActiveTCL version 8.6.
You will find a
link to download ActiveTCL 8.6 below.
TCL/TK
is normally standard installed in most Linux distributions, but
not all versions are 8.6. If not, you need to install TCL/TK
8.6.
In addition to that you need to install tcllib.

From version 0.2 and
up The TuxBox-Servant comes with an Application starter.
I
don't want to fill your desktop with shortcut Icons so the
Tuxbox-Servant icon is the only Icon you will find on your
Desktop.
The TuxBox-Servant has an Online Update function.
You
can activate Online Update by clicking on "Online Update"
in the Options Menu or use the "TuxBox-Servant Update"
button in the TuxBox-Servant Application starter.
Specially while the TuxBox-Servant is in Beta Status you should use this option regularly to keep the TuxBox-Servant Up to date.
The TuxBox-Servant is growing and changing Fast ;)
The Online Update
function comming with TuxBox-Servant version 0.1* is not
compatible with the Online Update function of the 0.2*
versions.
When you, while trying Online Updata, incounter
problems, you should download the TuxBox-Servant again, and
reinstall the TuxBox-Servant.
If
you are using one or more of the tools in the TuxBox-Servant and
something goes wrong, do not throw the TuxBox-Servant by side, but
don't hesitate to report bugs.
I am working in an environment
where everything is already there and bugs that will appear on
your side may not appear here.
So do not hesitate to report
errors and bugs.
That's for me and the development of the
TuxBox-Servant very important. Thank you in advance.
Next in development:
TuxBoxCVS. Building, Tune and compile your own Tuxbox Image. All
from one graphical Interface.
And also this will be a Linux
only Application.
